At the press conference for the play “Army on the Tree” on June 27th, Son Seok Gu said, “In the script, it said ‘whispering love’, but in that case, they should have given us microphones. Regarding his role in the drama “D.P. season 2“, Son Seok Gu plays Captain Im Ji Sup. This character undergoes changes after experiencing Private First Class Jo Suk Bong’s incident.

Son Seok Gu explained that he wanted to portray the character’s hesitation and uncertainty rather than a sudden transformation. He believed it was more realistic to show a character who does not instantly change under opposing circumstances.

Son Seok Gu found it challenging to portray a divorced soldier with 3 children in the script, as he believed understanding the character’s emotions on a personal level was important for his acting. Son Seok Gu mentioned that he would prefer to take on the role of Ho Yeol (Koo Kyo Hwan) rather than Joon Ho (Jung Hae In) because Joon Ho has to do a lot of action scenes. He expressed overall satisfaction with “D.P. season 2” and his recent projects, emphasizing his preference for juggling multiple works simultaneously.

Lastly, Son Seok Gu discussed taking a break after his theater commitments, indicating a need for physical rest. He mentioned his plans to take a three-month break to rest both mentally and physically.
