The premiere of tvN’s new Sat-Sun drama ‘Twenty Five Twenty One’ surpassed 6% in viewership.
As reported by Nielsen Korea, a rating research company on February 13th, the first episode of ‘Twenty Five Twenty One’, which aired on February 12th, recorded a nationwide rating of 6.37%. Its rating also took first place overall and among dramas in the rankings by genre last night.
‘Twenty Five Twenty One’ is a drama depicting the wandering and growth of young people who have lost their dreams in the 1998 (IMF financial crisis) era. Writer Kwon Do-eun and PD Jung Ji-hyun of tvN’s ‘Search: WWW’ work together again for ‘Twenty Five Twenty One’.
As for the cast, the drama marks Kim Tae-ri’s small screen comeback 4 years after ‘Mr. Sunshine’ in the role of Na Hee-do, a fencing athlete who can no longer play with her high school team due to its disbandment as a consequence of the IMF, but she does not give up on her passion and dream.
Nam Joo-hyuk plays Baek Yi-jin, who becomes a reporter after going through a tough time as the eldest son of a family that is shattered by the IMF.
