Dancer reveals BLACKPINK’s Jennie was injured during filming for HBO’s “The Idol” 

Despite her injury, Jennie worked hard to complete her debut role.

On August 4th, female dancer Chelsea Fuji, who starred alongside BLACKPINK’s Jennie as her double in HBO’s upcoming original series “The Idol”, mentioned Jennie on her Instagram.

Chelsea Fuji revealed that during the filming for “The Idol”, Jennie had extremely busy schedules in Korea including BLACKPINK’s comeback preparations and she also suffered from injuries, but none of that stopped her from working hard. Jennie is said to have poured in a lot of effort into her first-ever acting gig.

Meanwhile, “The Idol”, marking Jennie’s acting debut, is co-produced by The Weeknd and “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson and also stars Lily-Rose Depp, Troye Sivan, Debby Ryan.

Set against the backdrop of the music industry, “The Idol” follows a rising pop idol who gets entangled in a complicated romance with a secret cult leader. The highly-anticipated drama is set to be released later this year.
