“Why did I become a feminist? Because of you”… A famous singer who was extremely angry at malicious DMs

Former Wonder Girls member HA:TFELT (Yeeun) was outraged at the mocking messages directed at her.

HA:TFELT posted several captured photos on her Instagram story on March 10th, saying, “The reason why I became a feminist.” The photos contained malicious direct messages (DMs) that HA:TFELT received from a netizen.

The DMs contained mocking contents such as “These days, female celebrities with obsolete looks are called ‘feminists’, but Yeeun has been pushed back by her appearance since a long time ago.”

HA:TFELT stuffed such DMs and criticized, “It’s because of these people who ignore women, mock them, endlessly harass them and gain self-satisfaction.”

Earlier, HA:TFELT stated several times that she was a feminist. On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8th, she said, “More than 100 years ago, women around the world fought for survival and suffrage. Thanks to this, we’ll be able to exercise our precious one vote tomorrow. However, there are still people who ignore, mock and divide women. It’s a terrible feeling.”

She added, “I’m going to vote tomorrow for myself, for my sister and niece, for all women, for us living together.” Along with this, she uploaded a picture of a blue rose.
