(G)I-DLE Minnie was unexpectedly suspected of wearing couple ring.
On December 13th, Minnie turned on a live broadcast under the title “Long time no see” on Naver V LIVE and spent time communicating with fans.
When a fan asked, “Looking back on this year, what are you most proud of?”, Minnie replied, “Our members, including me”, adding “Because we’ve been through a lot, from last year until this year”.
She continued, “We also released our first full album and did our first overseas tour this year”, adding “Those were big steps for us. I feel proud of our members because we are working hard. I’m also proud of Neverland. I hope we will continue to grow more next year”.
However, some netizens who watched the live broadcast pointed out, “There is a ring on the fourth finger of Minnie’s left hand”, raising suspicion of the female idol wearing couple ring.
In addition, the ring drew attention as it is known to be a wedding ring product from the luxury jewelry brand C.
Later, fans proved that the ring was actually worn on Minnie’s right hand, not her left hand. The product was also found to have been worn by many other idols as stage accessories or friendship rings. The “couple ring” suspicion eventually ended.
(G)I-DLE (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua) is a five-member girl group under CUBE Entertainment. They debuted in May 2018 and recently created a syndrome with two consecutive hit songs, “TOMBOY” and “Nxde”.
The girl group is scheduled to meet fans through “(G)I-DLE OFFICIAL FAN CLUB NEVERLAND 3RD FAN MEETING” at SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium on the 28th and 29th of January 2023.
