Two strong candidates for the SBS Entertainment Awards’ Daesang that netizens are pushing for the most
Who is the most deserving entertainer on SBS to win Daesang this year?
A day before the SBS Entertainment Awards, Korean netizens are predicting the Daesang winner. A total of six nominees have been unveiled, and netizens’ opinions of the final winner are divided into two.
On December 16th, many netizens on the online community Theqoo have been predicting the winner of the SBS Entertainment Awards.
SBS previously released a list of six candidates for the Daesang, including Kim Jong Kook, Shin Dong Yup, Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Sang Min, Ji Suk Jin, and Tak Jae Hoon.
They are all prominent candidates who played an active part in variety shows namely “Running Man”, “My Little Old Boy”, and “Dolsing Fourmen”.
Netizens have been guessing who will win the Daesang this year. And among the nominees, the candidate who has been selected the most is Ji Suk Jin.
Ji Suk Jin, an original member of “Running Man”, which aired from July 2010, was nominated for the Daesang for the first time last year, but didn’t win. He was given the Honorary Employee Award instead.
Netizens left comments, “Let’s get it this year Ji Suk Jin”, “Ji Suk Jin deserves the Daesang this year”, “I want to see Ji Suk Jin win”, “Give it to Ji Suk Jin”, “It would be nice if Ji Suk Jin won,” etc.
On the other hand, there were also many comments saying Tak Jae Hoon should be given the Daesang.
Some say, “Tak Jae Hoon brings the viewership ratings and the number of views on YouTube”, “Tak Jae Hoon stands out in both My Little Old Boy and Dolsing Fourmen”, “I think Tak Jae Hoon has the highest possibility to win the Daesang.”
Ji Suk Jin and Tak Jae Hoon, who are most supported by netizens to win this year’s Daesang, have been giving viewers much laughter through SBS for the past few years, but they haven’t won the Daesang once.
Last year, “My Little Old Boy” team received the Daesang, and the previous year, it was Kim Jong Kook (Running Man, My Little Old Boy). The 2019 winner was Yoo Jae Suk (Running Man), Lee Seung Gi (All The Butlers) in 2018, the mothers in “My Little Old Boy” in 2017, Shin Dong Yup (Animal Farm) in 2016, Yoo Jae Suk (Running Man, Same Bed Different Dreams) in 2015.
This year’s Daesang winner will be revealed on the live broadcast of the 2022 SBS Entertainment Awards at 8:35 pm KST on December 17th.
