Nayeon, a member of Twice, confirmed her global popularity with her first solo album ‘IM NAYEON’ and the title song ‘POP!’
Nayeon released her first solo mini album “IM NAYEON”, along with the title song “POP!” at 1 PM (KST) on June 24th. The music video of “POP!” then surpassed 16.5 million YouTube views within 24 hours, recording a rapid trend. As of 7 am (KST) on June 28th, the music video has surpassed 36.26 million views, attracting attention both in and outside of Korea.
In particular, the new song “POP!” ranked 62nd on the Spotify Daily Top Songs Global Chart on the 26th, and boasted world-wide power by breaking through 1.4 million streams in one day.
From release until June 27th, Nayeon’s solo mini-album “IM NAYEON” also topped the iTunes album charts in 20 overseas regions and reigned over the Apple Music album charts in 17 regions. In addition, this album exceeded 500,000 units of pre-order as of June 23rd, proving the potential of Nayeon becoming a half-million seller.
As the first member of TWICE to make an official solo debut, Nayeon’s 1st mini album, her title song, MV, and other contents all made headlines both domestically and internationally.
