The reason “Big Bet” actors visited Son Seok Gu’s room every day during their overseas shooting period

On February 3rd, the cast of Disney+’s original series “Big Bet” appeared in a Youtube content on “channel fullmoon” and released various behind-the-scenes stories of their drama filming.
The actors surprised viewers when they confessed that their acting skills were actually improved thanks to Son Seok Gu’s extraordinary passion.
While telling an anecdote of when “Big Bet” cast actors stayed at a luxury hotel in the Philippines together for three months for the filming, Lim Hyung Joon said, “It was a nice place. I had a chance to enjoy a staycation”.
The cast members then expressed their admiration for Son Seok Gu, who devoted himself to practicing acting even during his break time.
Lim Hyung Joon said, “He kept calling me in the evening. He was very persistent. That actually helped a lot”, adding “Since we were so passionate, I felt that time went by so fast. However, he interrupted me again when I was swimming the next day. Even when I had to go, he kept talking about the script…”, drawing laughter.
Lee Dong Hwi shared, “But I really liked that time. We gathered in Seok Gu hyung’s room after the filming and studied the script together. It was very helpful”.
Lee Dong Hwi, Lee Hae Woo, Lim Hyung Joon, and Hong Ki Joon were said to be the fixed members who often practiced acting with Son Seok Gu at that time. Son Seok Gu said, “That’s why I booked a large room with a living room later on”.
Lim Hyung Joon confessed, “Rumors spread to other rooms. They said if they met Son Seok Gu, they would be able to portray their characters better”, adding “That’s why other actors also wanted to meet him”.

Son Seok Gu is famous for his unusual profile. He studied Filmmaking at the School of Art Institute of Chicago before making his debut as an actor because his dream was to become a documentary director. During his military service period, he volunteered to join the Zaytun Division in Iraq.
Later, Son Seok Gu went to Canada, where his younger broker lived, and took on a new challenge as a basketball player. With a great interest in acting and directing, the actor returned to Korea. He also served as the CEO of the machinery manufacturer established by his father.
