The actor who played Kim Go Eun’s college senior in “Cheese In the Trap”… Today (Mar 18) is the 3rd anniversary of his death

It’s already been three years since the late actor Moon Ji Yoon suddenly left this world.

Moon Ji Yoon passed away on March 18th, 2020 due to acute sepsis at the age of 36. 

At that time, the late actor reportedly went to the hospital’s emergency room due to a sore throat. However, his condition worsened and he eventually died of acute sepsis.

Acute sepsis is a disease in which the body is infected by microorganisms such as viruses and bacteria, causing severe inflammation and impairing major organs.

The sudden death of Moon Ji Yoon, who had frequently communicated with fans through SNS until a week before he passed away, was a big shock to the public at that time.

Moon Ji Yoon made his acting debut in 2002 through MBC’s drama “Romance”. He then starred in KBS 2TV’s “Sassy Girl Chun Hyang”, “Big”, tvN’s “Cheese in the Trap”, MBC’s “May Queen”, “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo”, etc.

In particular, Moon Ji Yoon left a deep impression on viewers with his portrayal of Kim Sang Cheol, a college senior of Hong Seol (Kim Go Eun), in tvN’s “Cheese in the Trap.” He played a character commonly seen at any university who embezzles the fund of his department using his status as a senior and steals other people’s documents to take exams. 

Moon Ji Yoon once became a hot topic after appearing on a radio show and revealing that he had gained 12kg to play the rival of the main character Hong Seol.
