Stray Kids’ Hyunjin Attended Milan Fashion Week Without Support from JYP

Netizens Criticize JYP for Lack of Support for Stray Kids' Hyunjin During Milan Fashion Week

Stray Kids’ member Hyunjin faced a series of challenges during his attendance at Milan Fashion Week (MFW) as the Guest Brand Ambassador (GBA) for Versace. Despite his prestigious role, Hyunjin encountered a lack of support and encountered difficulties throughout his journey.

One notable setback was evident right from the beginning of his trip, as Hyunjin was not provided with security assistance at the airport. This led to chaotic scenes, with Hyunjin being unable to organize photo opportunities due to the absence of crowd control. Additionally, he embarked on his journey without the accompaniment of a stylist or makeup artist, presenting himself at the airport and various events with a natural appearance, devoid of styled hair or makeup.

Despite being the first Korean to serve as a GBA for Versace, Hyunjin received minimal media support and lacked promotional materials such as fashion films. Remarkably, he was the sole member out of four participants from Stray Kids attending the fashion week to experience this lack of assistance.

During a recent live broadcast, Hyunjin was called upon to address concerns regarding his experience at Fashion Week. Subsequently, JYP Entertainment, Stray Kids’ management agency, purchased tags on Weibo discussing Hyunjin’s natural appearance during the live broadcast, despite such actions being unprecedented. Hyunjin clarified that he did have makeup on during the live session, as he had just completed his schedule.

However, while facing malicious comments and threatening messages via fan messaging apps, Hyunjin received no public support or protection from his management agency. Instead, efforts were made to swiftly cover up any perceived unfair treatment, highlighting a concerning lack of consistent support from the company.
