“Soundtrack #1” by Park Hyung-sik: “My reasons for appearing in this series? Looking forward to working with Han So-hee”
Park Hyung-sik’s romantic series “Soundtrack #1” is coming.
Disney+’s original series “Soundtrack #1” (written by Ahn Sae-bom/directed by Kim Hee-won/produced by Red Nine Pictures, Jenadoo Entertainment/planned by NHN Bugs), which will be released on March 23rd, is a musical romance a man and woman, who are best friends of 20 years, stay in one house and get to realize each other’s feelings. This exciting romance story between love and friendship, which anyone may have dreamed of at least once, is expected to color the audience’s hearts pink in the spring of 2022.
“Soundtrack #1” is also drawing keen attention as a romantic series by Park Hyung-sik, who is called the Crown Prince of Romance. Park Hyung-sik has shown his strong acting transformation through the drama “Happiness” after being discharged from the military, and now he has returned to the romance genre where his charm can shine the most. Right before the release of “Soundtrack #1”, we got the chance to interview Park Hyung-sik about the reasons why he chose this work and what part did he put particular emphasis on.
First of all, Park Hyung-sik described “Soundtrack #1” as “a work which contains the story that occurs when feelings of love begin to sprout between a man and woman who have been friends for a long time. I think it’s a work where you can feel the feelings of unrequited love and the kind of love that one gradually learns with music.”
He then said, “I wanted to do it with director Kim Hee-won and actress Han So-hee the most, and I also enjoyed reading the script, which is why I chose it. I think I also wanted to try it out together with Disney+,” he said, adding the reason for his decision to appear on “Soundtrack #1”.
Regarding his character Han Sun-woo, Park Hyung-sik described, “He is a photographer who has a long-time friend called Eun-soo (Han So-hee). He is always a consistent and sincere young man, and that seems to be Han Sun-woo’s biggest charm. I remember thinking about how to deeply portray Han Sun-woo’s unchanging sincerity to the audience while acting.”
Finally, when asked about what choice he would make if he was at a crossroads between love and friendship like Han Sun-woo in the series, Park Hyung-sik replied, “Love.” He then continued, “I had a lot of fun filming ‘Soundtrack #1’. I hope you look forward to this combination of director Kim Hee-won, actress Han So-hee, and actor Park Hyung-sik. I’m also looking forward to March 23rd,” he added, inviting viewers to watch the series.
