SHINee Jonghyun’s foundation to auction idols’ cherished items, all profits donated to charity

The Shiny Foundation, which was established by the late Jonghyun’s family, will hold an online auction for 7 days, from May 2nd to May 9th.

The auction will be held by SM Entertainment in collaboration with FNC entertainment, and cherished items from DBSK’s U-Know Yunho and Changmin; FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki, Lee Jaejin, and Choi Minhwan; Girl’s Generation’s Hyoyeon; SHINee’s Onew, Jonghyun, Key, and Minho; CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa, Kang Minhyuk, and Lee Jungshin; as well as Red Velvet’s Yeri will be up for sales. These items will include personal belongings or clothing worn during promotions of these idols. All profits made from the auction will be donated to charity.

For those who wish to participate, the official website of The Shiny Foundation will open starting at 10 A.M KST on the days of the event. There will be an upper limit set for each item, so auctions might end early. Further details can be found on the official website.

Since its establishment in 2019, The Shiny Foundation has been donating profits made from various auctions and fund-raising activities. For this auction particularly, 50% of the earnings will be used to help victims of the forest fire in Gangwon District, while the rest will contribute to the building of a psychological counseling center.

In addition, The Shiny Foundation has been working tirelessly with the counseling center as a major goal, while at the same time encouraging mental health practices among youths and artists.
