The production team of MBC M’s “Show Champion”, where Moonbin used to work as an MC until last year, posted a memorial message on their official SNS account, saying “2 years and 8 months with Moonbin. It was really warm, thank you. So many happy reasons together, we will forever remember.”

This week’s new release schedule of “MMTG”, the Youtube content that Moonbin appeared on when he was alive, was also canceled. Other famous Youtube channels “No Prepared” and “BamBam Social Club” also decided to take a week off to mourn.

Born in 1998, Moonbin made his debut as a child actor in DBSK’s music video “Balloons” in 2006. He later gained attention by playing the role of young Kim Bum in KBS’s 2009 drama “Boys Over Flowers”. After making his debut as a member of ASTRO in 2016, Moonbin also formed a subunit with member Sanha and received huge love from global fans. The duo released their third mini album “INCENSE” in January this year.

According to the police, Moonbin was found dead by his manager at his residence in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. He passed away at the age of 25. The deceased’s mortuary was set up in Room 30 of Asan Hospital’s funeral hall and his funeral will be held on the 22nd.
