NewJeans’ Popularity in Japan Proven through Sky-High Resell Ticket Prices?

On May 6, a topic titled “Resell Ticket Price of NewJeans’ Tokyo Dome Fanmeeting” was published on the Korean forum Instiz, drawing attention. 

According to the topic, regular tickets, which were originally priced at 22,000 Japanese yen per seat (approx. 143 USD) are now priced at a peak of 100,000 Japanese yen (650 USD). The highest sold price for the same ticket bracket was 98,000 Japanese yen.

These are extremely high pricing for a fanmeeting held on a weekday, especially as this is NewJeans’ debut in Tokyo Dome. As a result, many netizens were shocked by the popularity of NewJeans for not only selling out such a huge venue but also for the girl group’s impressive popularity there.
