“My late father lived with another woman”, Sunye revealed an unusual family history

Sunye from Wonder Girls mentioned her family’s history.

Sun-ye appeared on Channel A’s entertainment show “Oh Eun-young’s Golden Counseling Center,” which aired on the 2nd.

Sunye became a mother at the age of 25 in another country after getting married in 2013. She stopped her Wonder Girls career at a young age and started getting married and raising children in Canada, but she has lived with the thought of “It’s okay.”

About how she felt when she became a mother, Sunye said, “I didn’t have any emotions, so I thought, ‘It’s okay, it’s another choice in my life’.” Sunye gave birth to a child through naturalistic delivery without painless injections. Regarding postpartum depression, she said, “Well, I didn’t think about it. I was given the environment as a wife and a mother, so I thought I had to raise them well. There was no one I could really lean on. By nature, I was not used to relying on someone.” Seonye described herself as a humble person.

Sunye also said, “My father and mother gave birth to me before they got married. I was in a situation where I could have been abandoned somewhere, but my grandmother and grandfather raised me. I did not grow up in an ordinary family, so my mother and father divorced. I wondered if it was because of me,” she confessed.

Oh Eun-young was sad, saying, “How did you come to have this kind of heart?” Sunye said, “I have no memory of my mother at all.” “When I heard from my father later, when I was 6 years old, my mother died in a car accident, and I felt that I was a child born in an accident.” She then added: “When I was in school, I was hurt when my father said, ‘Do you think I gave birth to you because I wanted to have you?’”

Sunye then said, “My father got close to me when I came to Seoul at the age of 11. At that time, he lived with another person and went back and forth. He was a scary father to me. He loved me so much, but he didn’t express his love well. I bumped into my dad in adolescence, and since then I’ve been calm in all my emotions. I think all my emotions are paralyzed,” she confessed.

Meanwhile, Sunye debuted as Wonder Girls in 2007 and dominated the late 2000s by releasing hit songs such as ‘Tell Me’, ‘So Hot’ and ‘Nobody’ with the members. After that, she withdrew from the team in 2015 and performed on stage for the first time after 9 years through tvN’s ‘Mom is an Idol’, which ended earlier this year. In July, she released her first solo album ‘Genuine’.
