Changing career to pursue his passions, rising from minor roles
Born in 1984, Lee Je Hoon has had 20 years of experience in the industry. However, when he was young, Je Hoon did not dream of becoming an actor. It was when he studied Biotechnology in Korea University that he realized his passion for this art form. He decided to “switch lanes” and transferred to the School of Drama at Korea National University of Arts.
From 2006, Lee Je Hoon mostly appeared as students in short and indie movie projects. In early 2011, his career started to look up when his acting performances in “Bleak Night” and “The Front Line” received praise from the audience. In 2012, Lee Je Hoon was known for his appearance in “Architecture 101,” a successful movie with a smashing box-office record. The following years witnessed Lee Je Hoon’s rise to fame as he proved himself to be a capable actor with high commercial value. In 2016, Lee Je Hoon became a high-profile actor for his role in “Signal.” Afterwards, the actor focused more on movie projects and only returned with the first season of “Taxi Driver” in 2021.
After 20 years of work, Lee Je Hoon has brought home a series of accolades from “Blue Dragon Film Awards,” “SBS Drama Awards” or “Grand Bell Awards,” to name a few.
