Koreans’ Favorite Broadcasts In January: No.3 ‘I Live Alone’, No.2 ‘Korea–Khitan War’ & No.1 Is? 

On January 22nd, Gallup Korea announced the results of ‘Favorite Broadcast And Video Program of January’ survey, which was conducted on 1002 Korean people aged 18 or older from January 16th to 18th.

According to the results, TV Chosun’s “Miss Trot 3” ranked No.1, followed by No.2 KBS’s “Korea–Khitan War”, No.3 MBC’s “I Live Alone”, No.4 tvN’s “Marry My Husband”, and No.5 JTBC’s “Welcome to Samdal-ri”.

“Miss Trot 3” achieved a preference rate of 5.0%, while No.2 “Korea–Khitan War” and No.3 “I Live Alone” recorded 4.5% and 3.5%, respectively.

“Miss Trot 3” is a program that continues the “Miss Trot” series since 2019. Winners of the programs such as Song Ga-in, Lim Young-woong, Yang Ji-eun, and Ahn Sung-hoon have risen to become top stars, and other contestants have been doing well after participating in the show.

I Live Alone

No.2 KBS’s “Korea–Khitan War” jumped from No.12 at the beginning of November to No.3 in December. It rose one more spot in January. Starring Kim Dong-joon, Choi Soo-jong and Ji Seung-hyun, “Korea–Khitan War” is an authentic historical drama about King Hyeonjong of Goryeo uniting Goryeo by leading the war against the Khitans to victory.

tvN’s Mon-Tue series “Marry My Husband”, starring Park Min-young and Na In-woo, rose to 4th place after airing for three weeks, while JTBC’s weekend drama “Welcome to Samdal-ri”, starring Ji Chang-wook and Shin Hye-sun, placed 5th place with its last broadcast on the 18th.
