A strange trend of K-drama female leads these days: Kissing and sleeping with the male leads then “dumping” them like nothing happened!

Son Ye Jin, Park Min Young, Kim Se Jeong,… are all harsh with their handsome male leads.

Most of the female leads and second female leads have steamy kissing and even bed scenes in recent Korean dramas. However, instead of making the men take responsibility like the common trope, these female characters end up breaking the hearts of the male characters by telling them to forget about what they did together.

1. The female lead and second female lead in “Business Proposal”

Sleeping with Jin Young Seo after a drunken night, Cha Sung Hoon (Kim Min Kyu) wakes up and looks forward to starting a relationship with his crush, but Jin Young Seo (Seol In Ah) brushes that idea away. Because she is too embarrassed, she asks Cha Sung Hoon to pretend nothing happened between them last night and leaves his flat quickly, making Cha Sung Hoon bewildered and upset.

Meanwhile, Shin Ha Ri (Kim Se Jeong) takes the initiative to kiss CEO Kang Tae Moo (Ahn Hyo Seop) at the end of episode 7 when he confesses his love to her again. However, in episode 8, she calls their kiss a mistake and asks Kang Tae Moo to see it as an accident because the two were standing too close to each other, so their lips were just inadvertently touched. Disappointed and angry, Kang Tae Moo asks Shin Ha Ri to take responsibility and compensate him for the kiss.

2. Son Ye Jin in “Thirty Nine”

After meeting each other twice and also because of drinking a bit too much, Cha Mi Jo (Son Ye Jin) spends a wild night at Kim Seon Woo’s (Yeon Woo Jin) place. However, when they wake up, while Kim Seon Woo repeatedly suggests they go on dates because he has feelings for her, Cha Mi Jo makes excuses to reject him, saying she is going to leave Korea for the US. But because Kim Seon Woo keeps insisting, she agrees to meet him again.

3. Park Min Young in “Forecasting Love and Weather”

Jin Ha Kyung (Park Min Young) and junior co-worker Lee Si Woo (Song Kang) both go through breakups as their past relationships don’t work out, so they go out to drink together to feel better. And whatever has to come, the two end up sleeping together. The next morning, while Lee Si Woo is still puzzled, Jin Ha Kyung keeps asking him to consider it an accident and forget about last night, leaving Lee Si Woo speechless.

4. Song Hye Kyo in “Now, We Are Breaking Up”

Right in episode 1 of the drama, Ha Young Eun (Song Hye Kyo) has a one-night stand with a sexy man she just met (Jang Ki Yong) at the hotel. However, when they wake up in the morning and even later on when they see each other again, Ha Young Eun acts all cold. When he asks what her name is, she says: “Why are you asking for my name? We will never meet again. After fashion week, I will go home, goodbye Paris.”
