IU becomes the most searched female idol on YouTube Korea, surpassing Winter, Karina and Taeyeon

IU is gaining another achievement in her career.

According to YouTube’s statistics, IU topped the list of most searched female idols on YouTube in Korea from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021.

From No.2 to No.10 are Taeyeon, Rosé, Jennie, Winter, Sunmi, Joy, Chungha, Arin, and Jang Won-young. They are followed by Karina, Jisoo, Irene, Lisa, Jung Eun-ji, Yoona, Hwasa, Jo Yuri, Nayeon, and Yuqi, ranking from No.11 to No.20.

From No.21 to No.30 are Seulgi, Ryujin, Binne, Jeon So-yeon, YooA, Yuna, Lee Chae-yeon, Miyeon, Seunghee, Lee Mi-joo. From No.31 to No.40: Jihyo, Sana, Kim Chae-won, Choi Ye-na, Kim Min-joo, Ahn Yu-jin, Leeseo, Chaeryeo, Yeh Shuhua, Wendy. Kwon  Eun-bi, Momo, Yeri, Yeji, Sieun, Miyawaki Sakura, Nayoung, NingNing, Tzuyu, Soojin are named in the list from No.41 to No.50

Meanwhile, IU, who topped the most-searched female idol rankings, won awards for both the album and digital categories at the 36th Golden Disc Awards held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul, on the evening of January 8th. This was also the first time IU won Bonsang in the Album category at an awards ceremony since her debut in 2008.
