Singer-actress Lee Jung Hyun missed the late Kang Soo Yeon, who passed away.
On Jan 21st, Lee Jung Hyun posted several photos on her Instagram with the caption, “I watched ‘Jung_E’ last night. I applaud director Yeon Sang Ho for his endless challenges and imagination.“
The released photos showed the official poster of “Jung_E” and the late Kang Soo Yeon. “Jung_E” is a posthumous work of the late actress Kang Soo Yeon, who passed away in May last year.
Lee Jung Hyun said, “I think I cried more than when I watched the movie ‘A.I’. I was so happy to see senior Kang Soo Yeon after a long time. I applaud all the actors for their passionate performances.“
She explained, “How can emotions be felt in a robot? I cried a lot last night. It was great that the whole family could watch it together because it’s suitable for the ages of 12 and over.“
The late Kang Soo Yeon passed away on May 7th last year at the age of 55. The cause of death was known to be cerebral hemorrhage caused by ruptured cerebral aneurysm.
At that time, Lee Jung Hyun commemorated the deceased, “Senior Kang Soo Yeon, I miss you so much. May the actors’ eternal star, senior Kang Soo Yeon, sleep in peace.“
Set in the year 2194, “Jung_E” portrays a desolated Earth in the 22nd century that is no longer habitable due to climate change where humans are forced to live in a man-made shelter built for survival. Amid the chaos, an internal war breaks out in the shelter. Victory – meaning the end of the war – now hinges on finding a way to clone the legendary mercenary Jung_E into a scalable robot. The late Kang Soo Yeon played Yoon Seo Hyun, the team leader at a research institute that develops brain cloning and AI technologies.
