On Feb 8th, Honey Lee appeared on CBS’ “Let’s be renewed” and said candidly, “We talked about holding a wedding after finishing the drama ‘One the Woman’. My husband and I are both old, so we greeted both families and planned a test-tube baby. Then my husband went on a business trip to Hong Kong for 3 months. I met my husband briefly in September and became pregnant at that time.”

Honey Lee met her non-celebrity spouse and got married on Dec 21st, 2021. In June last year, 7 months after the wedding, Honey Lee made headlines by giving birth to her first daughter. In particular, after a short recovery period, she immediately returned to acting activities.

But an unexpected sadness almost came. Honey Lee confessed, “My child was originally healthy, but I got a call (from the university hospital) that I should do a genetic follow-up test. I did more tests because I’m old. I did a genetic test, and they said, “You’re likely to be positive. You may have to do an amniotic fluid test and have an abortion.”

She cried, “I was 18 weeks pregnant, I couldn’t even see the baby’s face, but I guess my motherhood broke out. When I waited for the result after doing the amniotic fluid test, I didn’t know what was in my mind. I prayed every day. I sympathized with parents who have sick children. I couldn’t even sleep.”

Fortunately, the child was healthy and saw the light of the world in June last year. Honey Lee shared, “This child was born healthy even though she could have died or had a disability.”

Honey Lee was embroiled in rumors of surrogate mother as her pregnancy, childbirth, marriage and return have been carried out at such a high speed. Honey Lee said on a radio show, “There was a rumor that someone gave birth to her somewhere.”

However, Honey Lee’s childbirth was real and her motherhood was sincere. For Honey Lee, who has become a real “wonder woman”, rumors of surrogate mother are just a waste of time.
