Singer Gummy revealed the love story of her and her husband, actor Jo Jung-seok
On November 28th, SBS’s program ‘Dolsing Fourmen’ released a video featuring singer Gummy as a guest.
In the video, Gummy recalled the moment she confirmed her feelings with her now-husband Jo Jung-seok, “This is the first time I’ve talked about this on a show.”
When asked about the “moment when you first liked each other,” Gummy said, “Oppa was introverted like me, so he didn’t express it well. In particular, there was a period when oppa was determined not to date, but he still contacted me from time to time. Then one day, he invited me to a work-related meeting. The director and film staff were all there. I fell in love rationally then. I like manly people. Before that day, he seemed kind and delicate, but it turned out that he was very manly.”
Asked who confessed first, Gummy t replied, “I got to know how I felt and I guess oppa knew my feelings. But I didn’t know how he felt. Oppa said he wouldn’t date during that time, but he always came to places if I was there. Because he acted so vaguely, I wanted to be honest to him about my feelings, but he confessed first.”
After hearing this, MC Tak Jae-hoon asked, “Didn’t you ask why he confessed when (Jo Jung-seok) said he wouldn’t date a woman for the time being?” to which Gummy answered, “I was close to his ideal type. He said he wasn’t supposed to date me, but he would go to me if I called him.”
Meanwhile, Gummy married actor Jo Jung-seok in 2018 and has a daughter with him.
