This year, Gong Yoo met audiences all around the world as the ‘slap-match’ man in the hit drama “Squid Game” and as Han Yoon-jae in “The Silent Sea”. In particular, many people have raised expectations to see him in “Squid Game” Seasons 2 and 3.

In response, the actor said, “I don’t know. I’m still contacting director Hwang Dong-hyuk regularly but haven’t heard anything from him”, adding, “During his self-quarantine period after returning from the U.S, he called me. That was the last time he contacted me. I don’t know how ‘Squid Game’ will proceed because he has not contacted me for any specific thing related to that drama. Just like me, he will always look at the scenario before making a decision.”
