(G)I-DLE’s Shuhua Criticized For Filming Reality Show Abroad During Hiatus From Team Activities Due To Health Problems
Shuhua's absence from (G)I-DLE's schedules caused controversy.
Recently, CUBE Entertainment released an announcement about the situation of (G)I-DLE member Shuhua. Previously, the female idol temporarily stopped her activities due to health reasons, right after the controversy over her bad live singing at the end of January 2024. Shuhua was absent from promotional schedules for album “2”. According to the latest announcement, the company said that Shuhua cannot yet participate in promotional activities in Korea with (G)I-DLE, and the female idol’s health situation will continue to be closely monitored.
However, Shuhua still appeared in a travel reality show with actor Jin Baekrim. Filming for the show was completed during a trip to New Zealand, which was done while Shuhua was still temporarily halting activities to rest and recover.
This week, (G)I-DLE returned to music shows to promote the song “Fate” and Shuhua continues to be absent. However, on the MLB Seoul stage on March 21, the female idol performed with the members without showing signs of fatigue or exhaustion.
The confusing schedule of Shuhua causes intense controversy. Korean netizens believe that it is hard to believe a person who has health problems and has to stop promoting can still participate in a travel show. Shuhua was also criticized for focusing only on personal schedules instead of group activities. Not to mention, Shuhua’s recent performance is also quite stable, so people don’t understand why CUBE allowed Shuhua to continue her absence from the group’s schedule.
