FIFTY FIFTY may earn over 7 million USD as “Cupid” becomes a global hit

With their song “Cupid” becoming a major hit worldwide, girl group FIFTY FIFTY may receive over 7.7 million USD.

Back on July 11th, TenAsia reported that FIFTY FIFTY will receive a hefty settlement payment for their hit song “Cupid” in late July. According to the media outlet, the payment will include profits generated from various music distributors and platforms, including Spotify.

At the same time, music distributor Interpark is also said to be in their final phase of financial settlement, and FIFTY FIFTY may earn billions of won from this.

Previously, a music industry insider predicted that FIFTY FIFTY is likely to receive at least 3 billion won (around 2.3 million USD) from “Cupid”. However, another specialist estimated a way higher number, which may exceed 10 billion won (around 7.7 million USD). Unfortunately, FIFTY FIFTY is currently in a contract dispute with their agency, ATTRAKT, making the settlement process rather complex and may lead to late payment.

Meanwhile, the CEO of ATTRAKT is expressing their wish to reconcile and embark on a “new beginning” with FIFTY FIFTY, citing that 2 out of 4 members are underage, and that their parents are not knowledgeable about the industry.

However, all 4 members of FIFTY FIFTY have yet to respond to this request.
