Mayor of Daegu Hong Joon Pyo criticized the ending of “Reborn Rich”.

On Dec 29th, Mayor Hong uploaded a post on his personal SNS regarding the ending of “Reborn Rich“. He said, “There are so many viewers who are angry after watching episode 16 of ‘Reborn Rich’.“

He added, “Viewers can only feel that they were deceived by a twist reminiscent of ‘The Cloud Dream of the Nine’, so how can they not get angry? It feels like falling from the top while riding Viking.“

JTBC’s drama “Reborn Rich”, which ended with episode 16 on Dec 25th, was criticized by many netizens for having a different ending from the original novel.

The original novel ends with Yoon Hyun Woo becoming the owner of Soonyang Group after returning as Jin Do Jun, but the drama was adapted to show that everything was Yoon Hyun Woo’s dream.

Meanwhile, JTBC announced that “Reborn Rich Soonyang conquest” will be broadcast on Jan 1st, 2023. The broadcast will include major events and famous scenes of the drama.
