“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” Kang Tae-oh “Season 2 after discharge? I want to do it so bad”
Actor Kang Tae-oh expressed his expectations for life after discharge.
We recently met Kang Tae-oh at a cafe in Gangnam-gu, Seoul to conduct a wrap-up interview for ENA’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” (written by Moon Ji-won, directed by Yoo In-shik).
“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is a work that helped Kang Tae-oh’s life. Kang Tae-oh said, “I felt that I should be more careful and think more about my actions in the future. I also felt that it was a whip that I should develop further because you loved me that much. It could be an alarm. Besides, I wonder if it’s necessary to be conscious of every action since many people are paying attention to me. So in a way, I think that an environment has been created for Kang Tae-oh to grow further.”
Kang Tae-oh is currently waiting for a military enlistment warrant. He confessed, “It doesn’t feel real yet. The warrant hasn’t come yet, so I check my mail every day. There was no yesterday and today. I think I’ll have to fly to find out. While we were filming ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’, the director as well as I hoped that the work would go well, but we were surprised because we didn’t know it would do this well. I’m grateful when I think about it. No matter what happens, I can live comfortably with a happy mind in a good state. If I think negatively, there’s no bottom or end, so I try to think positively.”
First, he received advice from unexpected people (Seo Kang-joon, Gong Myung, Lee Tae-hwan), who already joined the military. Kang Tae-oh shared, “They all enlisted already so whenever we talked, I was the only one who couldn’t understand. Two days ago, Tae-hwan called me. He asked if I was doing well and advised, ‘Don’t worry too much’. He said, ‘You can adapt well and live comfortably, so don’t worry about anything. Congratulations!’”.
Kang Tae-oh is set to the military after making a big hit with “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, but people are already raising higher expectations for him in his 30s when he returns. Kang Tae-oh said, “Rather than thinking ‘I should live like this and that in my 30s’, I want to live with the same heart as that of my 20s even after coming back. When I return, I still want to work hard. Seeing my past videos and dark histories being brought back after ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ Kang Tae-oh became more well-known to people, I just wondered why there were a lot of such things. I thought what I did would be buried and forgotten so naturally. Eventually, they have become my bones and flesh, and I feel that I can fully consider such content my new charm. ‘I’m glad that I’m busy with this and that. It’s worth doing such things’, I could feel it even more.”
People are talking about “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” Season 2. Some people even predicted that Kang Tae-oh’s comeback drama after military discharge would be “Extraordinary Attorney Woo 2”. The actor said, “The story has not yet been discussed in detail within the team, but if there is a chance, I really want to do season 2. I don’t know if it would happen as soon as I return or not, but I want to do it so much if the opportunity comes.”
ENA’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, which recently ended, created a miracle for dramas with viewer ratings in the range of 0%.
