Daniel Caesar Angered Fans with Jennie Video After Canceling Korea Concert

Singer-songwriter Daniel Caesar canceled his concert in Korea abruptly without explaining, but shared a video featuring BLACKPINK’s Jennie

On December 12, Live Nation Korea, the organizer for Daniel Caesar’s concert, announced the cancellation of his concert scheduled for the day through official social media. The cancellation occurred approximately three hours before the performance.

Live Nation Korea briefly explained the reason for the cancellation as “unexpected circumstances” and conveyed apologies to fans who had been waiting, requesting understanding. They also added that full refunds would be processed without cancellation fees for existing ticket holders.

Meanwhile, Daniel Caesar posted on his SNS on the same day, stating that the remainder of his Asian tour has been canceled due to undisclosed reasons. However, the post was later deleted.

Netizens expressed their confusion and dissatisfaction, leaving comments such as, “How can they notify fans like that and cancel just three hours before the show?”, “I came from Busan; they should refund the train fare too,” “Please provide an explanation”, and more.

Adding to this, as of December 13, Live Nation Korea has not provided any additional statements regarding the reason for the concert cancellation.

Daniel Caesar, too, has not addressed the issue directly. Instead, he shared a video of himself meeting Jennie backstage on the day of the canceled concert, angering fans. The absence of an apology regarding the concert cancellation and the action of sharing only the video with Jennie left Korean fans perplexed.
