Current status of an elementary school student who was cast on the subway because of her pretty appearance
Seohyun debuted in 2007 with girl group Girls’ Generation. Seohyun is a star who was cast on the subway when she was in 5th grade because of her pretty appearance.
According to the casting story she revealed herself, one day on the subway, a woman kept looking at her and following her even though she moved to another compartment.
When she arrived at her destination and got off the subway, the woman followed her, handed her SM Entertainment’s business card and said, “If you show it to your parents, they might know what company it is, so please give me a call.”
After that, she auditioned at the recommendation of her parents, who said, “Give it a try because it can become a variety of experiences.” At that time, she sang a children’s song, did ballet and passed the audition at one go.
Seohyun’s mother was a chairwoman at a piano school. Therefore, Seohyun was taught how to play piano, violin as well as traditional Korean drums in her early childhood. She originally dreamed of becoming a pianist.
After passing the audition, she worked as a trainee at SM Entertainment for about 5 years before debuting as the youngest member of Girls’ Generation.
Girls’ Generation became a representative idol group of K-POP’s second generation. They gained popularity with numerous songs such as “Kissing You”, “Gee”, “Genie” and “Oh!”. In particular, “Gee” and “Genie” swept the entertainment industry by causing various syndromes.
Seohyun, along with fellow members Taeyeon and Tiffany, formed Girls’ Generation’s first official unit group TTS. TTS is a group named after Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun one by one. TTS’ first title song “Twinkle” achieved good results, such as winning No.1 12 times on music shows.
She is famous for her pretty appearance just like when she was a child and slender limbs. She is known for being in charge of the disciplined life in the group, which fits her elegant and calm atmosphere as well as good image.
Seohyun is an all-rounder star who shows excellent singing, dancing and acting skills.
Aside from Girls’ Generation’s activities, she is expanding her career by appearing in various movies and dramas such as “So I Married An Anti-fan”, “Love and Leashes”, “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo”, “Time” and “Jinxed at First”.
Meanwhile, Seohyun completed the 5-month filming journey for the movie “Finding the King”.
“Finding the King” is a movie about what happens when some unidentified creatures come to an isolated village in the Demilitarized Zone in the summer of 1980.
It will be released in the summer of 2024.
