Cha Eun-woo Talks About His Family, “Younger Brother Wants To Win Against Me At Least Once”

tvN’s program “You Quiz on the Block” broadcast on May 8th was a special episode about “Family” and Cha Eun-woo was among the guests.

Revealing his whereabouts, Cha Eun-woo said, “After finishing the drama, I released an album and I’m currently doing a world tour.” 

He then talked about his family, saying “Dad calls me ‘my son’ and Mom calls me ‘Cha Star’ whenever we talk on the phone. Dad says I resemble him 90%, and Mom doesn’t even comment about it now”, adding “Mom raised me very strictly when I was young. She often said, ‘You’re not handsome’, so that I wouldn’t be arrogant”.

As for his younger brother, who recently made headlines with his visual, Cha Eun-woo smiled and said, “He’s in China to study. My brother majors in Newspaper And Broadcasting. He thought about that a lot. I told him to do whatever he wants and I’ll help him”, adding “He says he wants to win against me at least once. I’ll never lose to him either”.

Recalling his school days, Cha Eun-woo said, “Before my debut, I was the president of my school and the captain of the football team. Back then, I was a little chubby because I liked to eat”, adding “I used to receive gifts in my lockers”.

Regarding the reason he decided to become a celebrity, Cha Eun-woo said, “My family always think it was amazing. I went to a physics academy on Sunday and received an audition offer. Of course, I wasn’t going to join because I thought it was some kind of a scam. However, my teacher said, ‘It’s okay to take the opportunity that came to you. Give it a try’. So I asked for Mom’s permission then went to the audition and became a trainee”.
