Big Hit Music has released an official statement regarding the enlistment time of BTS’s RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook

Jimin and Jungkook will enlist together on the following day, December 12th, at a front-line recruit training center.”

Meanwhile, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will undergo about 5 weeks of basic military training and then serve as active-duty soldiers in the army for 18 months after being assigned to their units.

Earlier, on November 22, Big Hit Music released an official announcement, saying, “RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have begun the process for fulfilling their mandatory military service,” adding, “They are preparing to fulfill their mandatory military service. We will provide guidance on subsequent news related to their military enlistment as decisions are made.”

The agency also expressed, “We ask for warm support and unwavering love until the day RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook fulfill their military service and return healthy. We will continue to provide consistent support and affection for our artists.”

Later, Jungkook personally confirmed his enlistment through Weverse, saying, “In December, I will begin a new journey. I will temporarily leave your side for a while for military service.”

Meanwhile, BTS’s eldest member Jin enlisted as an active-duty soldier in the army in 2022, while J-Hope enlisted as an active-duty soldier in April 2023. In September, Suga began his mandatory duties as a public service worker.
