BTS won ‘Group of the Year’ award for the third consecutive year at the ‘People’s Choice Awards’

The group also won “Concert Tour of the Year” and a solo achievement “Collaboration Song of the Year”.

At this year’s “People’s Choice Awards” held on the 6th (local time), BTS received three awards, namely “Group of the Year,” “Concert Tour of the Year,” and “Collaboration Song of the Year”, marking their third consecutive year of taking home trophies from this US award show. 

BTS won the “Group of the Year” award for the third consecutive year following 2020 and 2021, overcoming other nominees such as BLACKPINK, Coldplay, OneRepublic, and Imagine Dragons.

BTS also took home a trophy in the “Concert Tour of the Year” category with the concert “BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE”.

Jungkook won the “Collaboration Song of the Year” category for his collaboration song “Left and Right” collaboration with the American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth.

Although BTS focused on solo activities more than that of their group this year, they still managed to show the “global superstar” potential with the group’s winning streak at overseas year-end pop music awards.

They also won two awards at the “American Music Awards” (AMAs) last month, including “Favorite Pop Duo or Group” and “Favorite K-pop Artist” for the fifth consecutive year.
