BTS V’s solo album “Layover” achieves significant success on Spotify

According to the latest report, V’s (Kim Tae Hyung) debut solo album “Layover” has surpassed 100 million online streams on Spotify before the album’s release.

“Layover” by V has surpassed over 100 million streams on Spotify, the world’s largest online streaming platform, two weeks ahead of the full album release. With this achievement, BTS’s V has reached an impressive milestone in his solo career.

This accomplishment comes after V released two songs, “Love Me Again” and “Rainy Days,” on August 11th.

As previously announced, “Layover” is set to be released on September 8th. The album will include five tracks and an additional bonus track. The visual album will feature music videos for all the songs. Meanwhile, physical albums by V are already available for pre-order at stores worldwide.

V is the last member of BTS to debut as a solo artist. Prior to discussing this member’s solo album, the company BigHit Music revealed that Min Hee-jin – the CEO of ADOR and a label under Hybe – will oversee the album’s production, from music to choreography, design, and promotion for V.

Min Hee-jin urged K-pop fans to pay attention to V’s music, stating that the album will reflect the artist’s personal preferences and what she wants to express.

“We’re focusing on the music genre we want to do and can excel in, rather than pursuing familiar styles.”
