Recently, the economy and entertainment news site JoyNews24 held an annual survey with industry experts to celebrate various Korean works, actors, and artists that did well within the year.
From here, a list titled “2023 Entertainment Industry Power People” was created. Based on the votes of 200 experts, including those from entertainment agencies, broadcasting stations, content producers from film and TV, and entertainment reports, the list reveals Korea’s “most powerful people” in various entertainment fields.
Surprisingly, despite not making any official comeback in the year, BLACKPINK placed 7th with a total of 9 votes, whilst Jennie earned 10 votes, becoming the highest-ranking soloist in the list. Notable, this is the 2nd time in the decade that Jennie appeared in this list, making her the only soloist to achieve such a feat in this decade.

1st place: BTS (35 votes)
2nd place: Lim Young-woong (30 votes)
3rd place: NewJeans (19 votes)
4th place: Min Hee-jin (10 votes), Dex (10 votes), Jennie (10 votes)
