After CL gathered the members for Coachella reunion, netizens recall her remark in the past about 2NE1’s disbandment 

2NE1’s leader CL once could not hold back her tears while addressing 2NE1’s sudden disbandment. 

On April 16th local time, 6 years after their disbandment, 2NE1 reunited and had a surprise performance as four at the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival held in California, USA. CL, Sandara Park, Gong Minzy, and Park Bom heat up the stage by performing 2NE1’s iconic hit ‘I Am The Best’ and showing off their unchanging stage presence and energy. 

While feeling nostalgic because of 2NE1’s reunion stage, netizens have recalled what CL said on tvN’s entertainment program ‘Livin’ The Double Life’, which aired in 2017.

CL, who had just gone through her group’s disbandment at the time, said, “2NE1’s disbandment completely broke me. I felt a sense of responsibility. I wanted to do it until the end. I wanted to take responsibility (for 2NE1).”

CL then shed tears and expressed her desire to extend their activities, saying, “I hope the members are healthy. The members like doing it very much. Performing, singing, and things like this. I hope there will be many opportunities.”
