A Japanese guitarist is gaining attention for removing his nipples, claiming that they interfered with his instrument playing
The Yomiuri Shimbun reported on Sep 21st that guitarist MiA (31) underwent nipple removal surgery last month.
On his SNS account, MiA posted some photos showing himself wearing bandages after undergoing nipple removal surgery with the caption “Men don’t need nipples“.
He said, “I’d been thinking about (removing nipples) for a long time, so I did it.” MiA further stated that the nipples got in the way while he was playing the guitar, so he decided to remove them.
This was not MiA’s only strange action. Last June, he had a microchip implanted in his thumb.
This microchip allows him to perform electronic payments, exchange SNS contact information, unlock his smartphone and more. However, he plans to move the microchip to his forehead because it is hindering his guitar playing.
