When asked by reporters if he had ever had this one-sided love experience, Yoon Chan-young revealed his honest side as an actor of the MZ Generation, saying, “Before entering high school, I watched the movie ‘La La Land’ then decided to study in an arts high school. At that time, I didn’t know much about the feelings of love, but I could feel that love stories like the one in that movie were so sad but beautiful. I also wanted to try acting love stories like that. In fact, it’s not that I’m not interested in dating, but I have more affection for acting than that. That’s why I practiced acting a lot during my school days”.

Showing his professionalism, the actor continued, “I think I have never had a crush on anyone that is enough to risk my life. Therefore, to understand Cheong-san’s feelings, I tried to always keep On-jo’s image in my mind by putting stickers of On-jo’s face on places that I often looked at, such as the scripts and my phone. Apart from setting my phone’s wallpaper with the picture of On-jo in the original webtoon, I also thought a lot about the feelings of love.”

Yoon Chan-young was born in 2001 and has just turned 22 this year. It seems like he hasn’t had much love experience because he is still young. Nevertheless, he had completely immersed in his character Lee Cheong-san and performed an unforgettable one-sided love, causing many viewers to suffer from “Cheong-san sickness”.

Yoon Chan-young also answered the question about what he would do if an old friend confessed to him, just like the case of Cheong-san and On-jo, or he was the one who confessed. The actor replied, “If someone who had been my friend for 12 years and she liked me, I would feel really embarrassed at first”, and showed an appearance that he is sympathetic to On-jo’s perspective for a moment.
