WSG Wannabe Gaya-G shed tears as they received their first win on “Music Core”, surpassing the famous girl group aespa
WSG Wannabe’s unit Gaya-G, the project girl group formed through MBC’s entertainment program “Hangout with Yoo”, achieved their first music show No.1.
Many singers, such as Hyuna, Hyolyn, ITZY, Chungha, STAYC, etc., performed on the July 23rd broadcast of MBC’s “Show! Music Core”.
2 units of WSG Wannabe – Gaya-G and 4FIRE and aespa did not perform on the stage but they were nominated for 1st place. In the end, Gaya-G’s “At That Moment” surpassed No.2 4FIRE’s “I Missed You” and No.3 aespa’s “Girls” to win 1st place. When the result was announced, Yoo Jae-seok’s voice cheering “We won 1st place” was also heard on the broadcast.
As MC Kim Min-joo said, “The members of Gaya-G were really nervous while waiting for the result under the stage today”, Gaya-G members Lee Bo-ram, So-yeon, HYNN and Jung Ji-so shed tears while coming on the stage.
Lee Bo-ram, who was sobbing, expressed her feelings, “To the production crew of ‘Hangout with Yoo’, WSG Wannabe members, the CEOs, and music fans, thank you so much. Knowing that we should not give up, we will work even harder.”
“Hangout with Yoo” Antenna Team’s Yoo Jae-seok and Lee Mi-joo, who are leading Gaya-G, came on the stage with bouquets of flowers. Yoo Jae-seok said, “I was so surprised. I prepared flowers because I heard the group was nominated but I really didn’t expect that they would win 1st place. Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart”. Lee Mi-joo also shed tears as she said, “I feel so happy as if I received it. Gaya-G members, you did a great job. Congratulations!”
Lastly, Yoo Jae-seok expressed his gratitude, saying “Like our song ‘At That Moment’, I want to sincerely thank many people who made this miracle happen.”
Gaya-G members cried heavily while singing the encore stage of “At That Moment” as they were too emotional because of the first win on a music show.
Meanwhile, Gaya-G’s “At That Moment” is still receiving huge love from the public as it still maintains high ranks on the real-time charts of major music sites, such as Genie and Melon.
