“Warrior with many weapons”, Yang Hyun Suk praises BABYMONSTER Ahyeon

YG’s general producer Yang Hyun Suk cannot help but boast about Ahyeon, a member of YG’s new girl group BABYMONSTER.

On February 27th, a video titled “BABYMONSTER – Introducing AHYEON” was published on the official YouTube account of YG’s new girl group BABYMONSTER. This video introduces Ahyeon, a 15-year-old Korean trainee, the sixth member in the introducing video series after Ruka, Pharita, Rora, Asa, and Chiquita.


Ahyeon, whose specialty is cool yet flexible body control, played a pivotal role in enhancing the perfection of the entire performance. “She’s the one that best understands what I mean by ‘control’”, dance trainer LEEJUNG commented, adding, “That’s why it’s best balanced when she stands in the center. I think I can say she’s the best for the center position.”


Ahyeon is also described as a “perfect trainee” who not only dances, but also has impeccable vocals and explosive rapping skills. Even though her clean and pure tone seems to caress the ears, her powerful voice and outstanding singing ability overwhelmed the audience. The female idol also oozes a signature hip-hop swag and even presents unstoppable rapping, surprising everyone with her limitless capabilities.


Adding to her genius talent, Ahyeon also adopts a sincere attitude, both of which has become the foundation for infinite growth. From the age of 5, she showed interest in English and Chinese, and was reborn as a prospective global star with excellent foreign language skills through constant polishing. Ahyeon’s friends even commented, “It must be really tough training, but she’s always on time for school. She’s great in class and does really well with school life.”


At each monthly evaluation, Ahyeon presented her stage with sincerity and a confident mindset of “Let’s have fun with no regrets”. As much as she has an excellent understanding of herself and music, her wide digestibility and delicate emotional control have captivated the viewer. She is growing as an “all-rounder” artist with vocal, rap and dance capabilities.

Yang Hyun Suk, YG’s general producer, also expressed his admiration for Ahyeon, saying, “She’s like a warrior that has many weapons. I always think ‘It’s so difficult to have it all like her’ whenever I see her.”


Meanwhile, Ahyeon also showed her intense aspiration, saying, “I don’t want to be restricted in one area and I want to be an artist that can pull off different genres.”
