Actress-singer Uhm Jung Hwa honestly confessed that she had a rather difficult time in the past due to anxiety after reaching her 40s.
Recently, a video titled “Are you curious about Uhm Jung Hwa’s favorite accessories?” was uploaded on the YouTube channel “Umaizing Uhm Jung Hwa TV”. In the video, Uhm Jung Hwa drew attention by revealing her own collection of accessories that she has collected since her debut.
While introducing her accessories, Uhm Jung Hwa picked up a gold necklace. Looking at the necklace, she revealed the story behind it, “I went on a trip to Hong Kong with Lee Hye Young and some of my other friends.“
Uhm Jung Hwa said, “I was over 40 then. I was feeling quite sensitive about my age at the time. I kept thinking, ‘Is my career over? Is my life over?’ I was really sad.”
She continued, “So, I traveled to Hong Kong and had a party with drinks. One night, I was wearing a really sexy dress while I was out dancing and partying. But I was suddenly overwhelmed by my thoughts and started crying on my way back to the hotel. I was sharing a room with Hye Young.”
Uhm Jung Hwa recalled, “I kept crying even when I was in the room. She must have been displeased with me because I was crying so much after drinking. But she comforted me a lot. She told me, ‘Ugh! You were crying so much because your necklace is way too heavy!!!’ I started laughing and felt much better.”
She caused laughter by belatedly apologizing, “I think Hye Young has a cute personality like that. She’s good at saying funny things. I’ve never forgotten about that night. I’m so sorry for that night, my dear beloved Hye Young.”
Meanwhile, Uhm Jung Hwa was born in 1969 and Lee Hye Young was born in 1971. They are famous as close friends in the entertainment industry.
