As soon as Jeongyeon returned from TWICE’s U.S. tour, she went volunteering at a shelter for abandoned animals.

On April 3rd, photos of Jeongyeon and her older sister, actress Gong Seung Yeon, were posted on the official Instagram of the Anseong Pyeonggang Princess Animal Shelter. The cute and heartwarming photos show Jeongyeon and Gong Seung Yeon sitting on the floor at the shelter, looking out for abandoned dogs.

Both Jeongyeon and Gong Seung Yeon are members of the Blue Angel Volunteer Group, an organic animal volunteer group created by Natural Balance in 2013. In addition to the famous sibling pair, other celebrities, including Sistar’s Hyolyn, KARA’s Han Seung Yeon, and actor Yoon Park, are also known to be active in the volunteer group.

TWICE’s foreign members, Momo and Tzuyu, also started volunteer work at the suggestion of Jeongyeon and fostering rescue puppies from the shelter.

Jeongyeon brought home an abandoned dog named “Yuki” from the animal shelter in December last year and is temporarily taking care of him until he is adopted.
