The opposite fate of the famous “twin” sisters who dream of becoming idols: Chaeyeon is going through a rough patch while Chaeryeong’s career is on the up
Despite their identical appearances, Chaeyeon and Chaeryeong take on widely different paths in the industry.
Chaeyeon was born in 2000, 1 year older than her sister Chaeryeong. Although they are not twins, the pair boasted a similar appearance. They both participated in the program “Sixteen” organized by JYP, the program that gave birth to TWICE.
However, they unfortunately did not win their respective tickets. After that, Chaeyeon decided to leave JYP and Chaeryeong continued her journey as a trainee and debuted with ITZY.
The audience was in awe when they saw Chaeyeon appearing on Produce 48. Despite her unstable rankings, the one half of the sisters still won a spot in IZ*ONE. During her career, the female idol has always been appreciated for her dancing talent.
Following IZ*ONE’s disbandment, Chaeyeon lay low for a while. On October 12th, 2022, the idol started her solo career under WM Entertainment and released her first ever musical product called “Hush Rush”. Unfortunately, the song did not receive responses as anticipated.
Despite her talents, the idol has yet to fill the many requirements necessary to be a star. To succeed, netizens think she has to train more or take on another route, such as joining a dancing crew.
On the other hand, Chaeryeong is having a bright career with ITZY. The idol is making herself known with her visuals and gaining her share of the spotlight.
