“The Little Mermaid” stumbled across another controversy as Disney unknowingly cast a male porn star.
In May, “The Little Mermaid” live-action movie hit the theaters and received much backlash about the casting choices. Apart from the lead actress, Stefano Tomadini is also drawing attention as he is revealed to be a male porn star.
On June 11, British news The Sun uncovered the past works in Stefano Tomadini’s acting profile. Recently, a film source revealed, “Casting bosses decided to hire a number of really sexy male models to play mermen in the movie”.
According to The Sun, Stefano Tomadini appeared in three “racy” pornographic videos under the name Dante Ferrari. He was paid between £800 and £1,000 for one video. The content is available to watch through payment and has not been taken down.
The source said Disney did not know about this prior to his casting. Moreover, as the movie is a “big summer blockbuster for kids”, the lack of awareness of this information came across as “embarrassing”.
Stefano Tomadini starred as one of the male mermaids in “The Little Mermaid”. Since the movie was released, the actors who played male mermaids have also become the talk of the town on social media and community forums.
