“The First Responders” starts off well by ranking No.1 among all Saturday programs with its first episode
SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama “The First Responders” made a smooth start.
According to Nielsen Korea, “The First Responders”, which aired the first episode on November 12th, recorded a viewer rating of 7.8% in the Seoul metropolitan area with a real-time peak of 11.2%. On the 2049 chart (viewers aged 20~49), the drama achieved a 4.2% viewer rating, ranking 1st among dramas of the same broadcasting time and among all Saturday programs.
In episode 1, Jin Ho Gae (Kim Rae Won) was demoted to the Taewon Police Station due to excessive suppression from his superiors. Kim So Hee, who was assaulted after being kidnapped by a man with a gun at midnight, used Bluetooth earphones without the kidnapper knowing and asked her mom to call 112. Upon receiving the report, Taewon Police Station and Taewon Fire Station started carrying out a “code 0” emergency dispatch.
In particular, the lively camera shots and the scenes of the urgent dispatch attracted viewers’ attention.
“The First Responders” depicts the “joint response” field log of the police who catch criminals and firefighters who catch fire. Actors Kim Rae Won, Son Ho Joon and Gong Seung Yeon work together to lead the story.
The drama airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m.
