‘Squid Game’ Live-Action Variety ‘The Challenge’ is No.1 in Netflix’s Weekly Viewing Time

The reality show ‘Squid Game: The Challenge,’ inspired by ‘Squid Game,’ has topped the weekly viewing time for the English-language TV category

According to Netflix’s official site ‘Netflix TOP 10’ on November 29th, for the fourth week of November (20-26), the viewing time for ‘Squid Game: The Challenge‘ totaled 85.7 million hours, making it the highest in the English-language TV category.

‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ also secured the top spot in the global Netflix TV program category, according to the rankings compiled by FlixPatrol.

Looking at the country-specific rankings, ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ rose to the top in a total of 41 countries, including the UK, the US, Canada, Egypt, Israel, New Zealand, and Saudi Arabia.

‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ is a survival variety show where 456 participants from around the world compete in various games for a prize of 4.56 million dollars.

Utilizing the set of Netflix’s original series ‘Squid Game,’ the reality show even introduces new games and rules not found in the drama.

Thanks to the popularity of ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’, the original ‘Squid Game,’ released in 2021, has also risen to No.6 in the weekly viewing time for the non-English-language TV category.
