Shin Ye-eun Lands Lead Role in New Drama ‘Takryu’ Drama Following ‘Jeong Nyeon’

Shin Ye-eun has been chosen as the female lead in director Choo Chang-min's drama 'Takryu'.

According to local news on February 20th, Shin Ye-eun has recently confirmed her appearance in Disney+’s upcoming original series ‘Takryu,’ heralding a new transformation. The shooting dates are currently undecided.

‘Takryu’ depicts a historical drama where a man who starts as a rogue at Han River’s Mapo Naru, the center of logistics and economy in Joseon, becomes a legend of Joseon with just his body. The script was written by Cheon Sung-il, the author of ‘The Slave Hunters,’ and it’s the first drama directed by Choo Chang-min, who surpassed 10 million viewers with ‘Masquerade.’ Actors like Rowoon and Park Seo-ham were reportedly offered roles alongside Shin Ye-eun.

Shin Ye-eun debuted in the web drama ‘A-Teen’ in 2018. She has been actively involved in both dramas and entertainment shows. In particular, she received recognition for her acting skills by playing the villain Park Yeon-jin in Netflix’s ‘The Glory’. She is scheduled to meet viewers through tvN’s new drama ‘Jeong Nyeon,’ which is set to air this year.
