BLACKPINK Lisa, who used to receive discrimination, has now proven herself with both popularity and wealth.
Lisa, who debuted with Kpop girl group BLACKPINK back in 2016, now has both fame and wealth. However, her career is far from being a flower path, but is rather a result of determination and hard work.
Born and raised in Thailand, Lisa left the embrace of her family and went to Korea to pursue her dream. As a trainee, she never ceased to work hard, even staying behind in the practice room to 3-4 AM so as to perfect her dancing skills.
Despite her successful debut, Lisa still faces immense difficulties. Since she works in a foreign land, the BLACKPINK member often face discriminating words and is mocked for her appearance, even receiving threats simply for being from a Southeast Asian country.
Against all the discrimination and prejudice, however, Lisa continues to prove herself, and is now breaking Kpop records with highly sought-after achievements. She was recently crowned with the Best Kpop award at both the MTV VMAs and the MTV EMAs, becoming the first Kpop soloist to attain these.
As the 3rd member of BLACKPINK to debut as a solo artist, Lisa even broke the Guiness’ World Record for having the most-watched solo MV within 24 hours. She also broke a Spotify record with her solo songs “Lalisa” and “Money”.
With her world-wide popularity, Lisa also boasts a high number of followers on her Instagram account. As of the moment, the female idol is being followed by over 84 million users, making her the most-followed Kpop idol on Instagram.
Lisa is also Celine’s first Global Ambassador under Hedi Slimane. In June 2022, the female idol became viral with her appearance at the Paris and Milan fashion week, even becoming the most mentioned Asian soloist on Twitter within 2022 so far.
Lisa’s success is also not by fame alone, as her wealth is also just as astounding. The female idol is known to own a whole collection of luxury items, as well as an expensive real estate in Korea. Her net worth is reportedly at least 14 million USD.
According to Soompi, Lisa’s appearance fee ranges around tens of thousands of US dollars. In addition, with over 84 million Instagram followers, the female idol would earn around 200,000 USD per sponsored post.
