Daesung Apologizes To Minzy For Calling Her Unnecessary Member Of 2NE1
BIGBANG’s Daesung apologized for mentioning 2NE1 as the least contributor to YG’s success after three months
On May 3rd, Daesung met with Sandara Park, a colleague who worked with him under his former agency YG Entertainment, and shared various stories in the new video content on “ZIP DAESUNG”.
That day, Daesung suddenly apologized to his guest Sandara Park, saying “I made a mistake”, drawing attention.
He continued, “I thought I might have offended you, especially to Minzy”. When Sandara Park asked, “Did you reach out to her?”, Daesung explained, “I don’t have her contact”.
In the end, Daesung repeatedly apologized and left a video message for Minzy on the show, saying “To my lovely and pretty little sister. You’re so precious and I always felt sorry. People said that she’s a female version of me. I thought… for a girl, ‘a female version of Daesung’ would not be a compliment”.

After the news of Daesung’s appearance was announced, the public expected a variety of sensitive questions to be asked, from the issue of Seungri, a former BIGBANG member who is imprisoned on 9 charges, and the possibility of BIGBANG’s reunion.
However, there were no such questions about Seungri and BIGBANG. Instead of avoiding direct mention of BIGBANG, Daesung summoned 2NE1, his colleague under YG in the past, several times. When asked about “an artist that the company doesn’t need”, he picked 2NE1.
In addition, when asked to choose an unnecessary member in 2NE1, Daesung chose Minzy. His answers eventually received harsh criticism from netizens.
