On Sep 18th, a behind-the-scenes commentary of the actors who appeared in “Narco-Saints” was uploaded on the YouTube channel “Netflix Korea”. Director Yoon Jong-bin, actors Park Hae-soo, Ha Jung-woo, Hwang Jung-min, Jo Woo-jin and Yoo Yeon-seok were present on this day.

Director Yoon said, “I tried to recruit Chinese actors as Chen Zhen’s subordinates, but I couldn’t bring them to Korea due to the COVID-19 situation.” In the end, director Yoon searched for Chinese-speaking Korean actors who studied in Shaolin Temple and Shanghai.

One of them was a theater actor who was Park Hae-soo’s college junior. Park Hae-soo explained, “That big friend is a junior who studied theater at my university.” Another actor who took on the role of Chen Zhen’s subordinate was Song Ho-beom of the dance group “One Two”.

One Two is a group consisting of two members Song Ho-beom and Oh Chang-hoon. They debuted in 2003 with the song “Now, Hips”. Song Ho-beom was the one who made the whole nation hum with easy and addictive lyrics “Wave your hands from side to side above your head then go back and forth”.

Song Ho-beom, who made his first acting challenge through “Narco-Saints”, received rave reviews from fellow actors, “He has a kind face, but when the camera rolls, the middle of his forehead changes.”

Meanwhile, former Jewelry member Yewon, who could not be seen on TV due to “swearing controversy”, and actor Kim Min-gwi, who was embroiled in “cheating scandal”, also appeared in “Narco-Saints”.
