“Kkanbu Grandpa” Oh Young-soo: “Struggling with pneumonia, and even a stent insertion procedure”   

Oh Young-soo, the grandpa from Netflix’s original series “Squid Game”, appeared in a pictorial.

On Feb 8th, Rolling Stone Korea released some video interviews and tributary pictorial interviews with Oh Young-soo on its official YouTube channel and website.

When asked, “Is there any slump or crisis that has come at least once in your 55 years of acting experience?” Oh Young-soo answered in the interview, “I think it’s not especially a slump, but there were times when I have health problems,” adding, “In 2009, I had a procedure to insert a stent due to angina. A few years ago, I suffered from acute pneumonia. I’m trying to protect my health by exercising every morning,” he replied.

He also showed his honest and sincere side in various questions, including those about his most memorable line among the lines of “Squid Game,” advice he wanted to give to the 34-year-old Oh Young-soo who played the role of “Faust”, which is also the role he wanted to play again, and the driving force behind his long acting career.

In particular, when asked, “If you go back to before I become an actor, will you choose the actor’s path again?” he said, “Even if I go back, I will do the same. Passion is all I have, and even if I say it now, I’m still the same with passion boiling inside of me,” he said, drawing attention. ​
